CAR RENTAL
CONTRACT POLICIES
ESSENTIAL RENTAL CONDITIONS
The prospective tenant must be at least 23 years old, with a driver's license issued at least one year ago.
Maximum age is 70 years.
Driving license: Greek, European (for EU countries) or International (for China, USA , Australia , Canada)
Personal credit or debit card.
Drivers aged 20 years old and under do not have the ability to rent a vehicle.
Prospective tenants aged 20-23 years old, are subjected to a surcharge of 5€ per day.
Prospective tenants aged 70 years old and over are subjected to a surcharge of 5€ per day.
CREDIT / DEBIT CARD: NECESSARY
Customer's credit / debit card details ( card number / expiration date / cvv ), will be used by our company only in case of damage to the rental vehicle or in case of a fine occurred of violation of the traffic code.( These details do not constitute rental payment )
The amount of the charge is formed by the choice or not of the type of vehicle insurance chosen by the customer.
RENTAL PROCEDURE
The lessee must have with him when receiving the vehicle:
Necessarily, a valid legal driving license, issued at least one year ago.
Personal credit or debit card
The vehicle is delivered clean (internally and externally) and in excellent condition in terms of maintenance. The tenant will have to return it as he received it as well as at the same fuel level as it was when he picked it up. Otherwise the tenant is charged with the current price per litre for the remaining fuel
The tenant is charged with the amount of 50€ in case the vehicle is returned with stains that require special cleaning (e.g. wet seats, animal hair, food and drinks on the seats or on the floor or in the luggage compartment, sunscreen or salt stains).
Upon receipt of the vehicle, the tenant will be given the lease agreement which he will have to check and sign.
The lease agreement will list all the services / insurances provided as well as any of the additional services / insurances the tenant wishes with the corresponding charges.
It is very important for the tenant to check the vehicle during the pickup and take the necessary photos along with the employee of our company and to mention any damage that already exists in the vehicle, in order to avoid being charged for a damage done from a previous tenant.
DRIVERS
There is the possibility of adding a second driver, without additional charge.
The driver(s) registered in the lease contract is the only person allowed to drive the vehicle.
The company has the right to request the return of the car if it is comes to our attention that someone else is driving it (except the registered driver) without informing our office.
In case we notice that the vehicle is circulating with more than 5 people (excluding vehicles with additional seats) the tenant must return it immediately as soon as requested by the company and without any refund requirement. He also pays the fine of 200€ due to excessive wear of the vehicle.
CAR ACCIDENTS
If an accident occurs during the lease, the driver must inform the health center if necessary, our company and the traffic police in order to draw up an incident report.
In case of an accident with minor material damage, the driver may at his discretion decide if it is safe to continue with the same vehicle or request its replacement.
If the accident is not addressed by the traffic police, the driver must note the registration number of the vehicle with which he came in contact, the driver's name, telephone number and the insurance company that covers the other car as well as take some photos, then must inform us about the circumstances of the accident
FINES
All fines and administrative penalties are burden the tenant.
In case the tenant does not pay the fines, there will be an Administration charge of 20 € in addition to the fine.
VEHICLE KEY LOSS
Our company has a copy of the key for each vehicle. In any case, if the tenant does not have the car key, he must inform us immediately so that we can send him the spare key.
The cost of construction of a new key burdens exclusively the tenant and the amount is 200€.
FUEL
Fuels burdens exclusively the lessee and we do not make a refund in case the car is returned by the lessee with more fuel than it had at the pickup.
The tenant has the obligation to return the vehicle with the same fuel level that the vehicle had at the pickup, otherwise the tenant will be charged with the fuel difference and the supply cost.
Vehicles are delivered with a minimum amount of fuel corresponding to ¼ of the tank
Supply charge: 20€.
RENT OUTSIDE MILOS
The tenant is not allowed at any way to transport the vehicle outside Milos island.
In case of violation of this condition, the tenant is charged with the amount of 500€.
CHARGES
Minimum rental equals to 2 day.
Every extra hour will be charged with 1/5 of the normal daily price.
After 3 hours delay in return, the tenant is charged with the total daily rent.
EXTENSION AND TERMINATION OF LEASE
The lessee is obliged to return the vehicle in the condition in which it was upon pickup and on the day and time indicated in the lease agreement.
If the tenant wishes to extend the rent, he is obliged to notify our company at least 24 hours before the end of the lease and obtain the necessary approval.
CHOICE OF MODEL / CAR BRAND
The company reserves the right to provide a different type of car from that of the original booking with a corresponding or larger category.
Our company has the right to change the type of car in special cases.
BASIC INSURANCE
In the daily rate is included the basic third part insurance, simple liability insurance.
The insurance company undertakes to cover the cost of any damages that may be caused to "third parties"
For damage or theft caused through the fault / negligence of the tenant in our vehicle, the tenant is responsible up to the total commercial value of the vehicle at the time of the accident or theft.
If the tenant causes damage to another vehicle, the insurance company only compensates the victim.
If the tenant causes damage to the vehicle himself or while he has rented it he finds it hit, it is his responsibility to cover the damage.
ADDITIONAL INSURANCE:
CDW: THIS INSURANCE SETS A MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF PAYMENT, IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT OR DAMAGE
Category A: By paying 8€ additionally per day, in case of accident or damage the tenant is required to pay until 400€. If the cost of the damage is higher, the insurance company will cover the remaining amount.
Category B: By paying 10€ additionally per day, in case of accident or damage the employee is required to pay until 600€. If the cost of the damage is higher, the insurance company will cover the remaining amount.
Category C: By paying 15€ additionally per day , in case of accident or damage the employee is required to pay until 800€. If the cost of the damage is higher, the insurance company will cover the remaining amount.
LW / TIRE COVER AND CRYSTAL BREAKAGE
The tenant is completely relieved of liability for any damage to the tires or windows of the car by paying the amount of 7€ per day.
PAI / DRIVER INSURANCE: 5€ PER DAY
The tenant is not covered by "Driver Insurance" (PAI), unless he accepts and signs the relevant term of the company contract.
Maximum amount of insurance compensation paid: 12,000€.
FULL THEFT PROTECTION
There is additional protection against theft:
5€ per day for category A
7€ per day for category B
10€ per day for category C
Adding car theft protection, if the car is completely stolen, the customer has no further responsibility.
If the customer returns the car, with a part of the car stolen, the customer must pay for the missing spare part.
If the customer's personal belongings are stolen, our company bears no responsibility.
INSURANCE LIMITS
Vehicles are insured against third parties (excluding the driver) for death and personal injury up to the amount of one million two hundred and twenty thousand Euros (1,220,000.00 €), per accident and for material damage to third parties (excluding Milos Rent a car vehicle) up to the amount of one million two hundred and twenty thousand Euros (1,220,000.00 €).
In case of change of the above amounts, the amounts will always apply, as they are determined by the current Greek legislation.
Damages that exceed the limit of the insurance coverage or are excluded from it, will be paid in full by the customer.
ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE:
The price per day paid by the tenant for the car includes the basic Roadside Assistance (transport of the vehicle in case of a car accident).
ADDITIONAL ROAD ASSISTANCE WITH 5€ PER DAY
COVERS
In case the driver has locked the car with the keys inside the car or in case the driver has lost the keys of the vehicle. The cost of the new key in each case burdens exclusively the lessee.
Assistance in restarting the vehicle battery.
Replacement of a tire using the reserve and transfer of the immobilized vehicle to the nearest workshop. The cost of replacing the tire, if required burdens exclusively the lessee.
Fuel refueling at the point where the vehicle is stationary. The fuel burdens the tenant.
DOES NOT COVER:
Cost of key replacement in case of loss.
Damage to the car battery caused by intention or negligence.
Damage to the car tires caused by intention, negligence or driving in an unauthorized area, as defined in the terms of the lease.
Cost for the replacement of the tires. (SEE MAP BELOW)
Car fuel and fuel service costs, in case of refuelling.
The conventional car is not covered on the West and East side of the island. (SEE MAP BELOW)
In case of mandatory assistance of the Breakdown Service in any of the above cases, there is an additional charge of 200 Euros.
VEHICLE USAGE
The traffic of the vehicle is not allowed where the map shows that you are off the road. (SEE MAP BELOW)
It is not allowed to visit the west and east side of the island by conventional car. (SEE MAP BELOW)
On the west and east side of the island there is no insurance coverage for conventional cars and any damage to the car will be borne by the tenant, excluding the categories of 4x4 cars. (SEE MAP BELOW)
The lessee will be charged with the amount of 500€ for the service and transport of a conventional vehicle in case of crossing the red line, the categories 4x4 cars are excluded. (SEE MAP BELOW)
Vehicles of the category 4x4 are allowed to move on unpaved roads - yellow lines of the map- only if they are within the boundaries of the road. (SEE MAP BELOW)
CANCELLATION POLICY
30 or more days prior to the date of arrival of the customer, then the deposit will be returned to the customer (any costs will be borne by the customer).
29 to 15 days prior to the date of arrival of the customer, then 50% of the deposit will be refunded (any costs charged to the customer).
14 or less days prior to the arrival date of the customer, then no amount of the deposit is returned to the customer.
In case the tenant wants to cancel the reservation, NECESSARILY must send an email to our company.
Automatic cancellation of reservation, in case the confirmation of the required deposit has not been confirmed, within 4 days.
In case the tenant does not show up to pick up the car at the agreed date and time without any prior written or telephone notice, the company will cancel the reservation after 3 hours.
The company has the right to charge the renter one rental day corresponding to the category of the car for which a reservation has been made.
The court of Syros is responsible for resolving any disputes.
PRIVACY POLICY:
The processing of the data provided by the customer relates only to the procedures which are necessary for the reservation and further no data transfer or use takes place.
